London's (aka Tamika) masterpiece

This blog has 2 parts. First part-I have been in project mode lately...to Niles chagrin because he ends up helping with the projects. We are currently working on painting the twins rooms. London really wanted to paint..... I'm a sucker and gave her a brush and let her have at it. The pictures are proof that I'm a cool, layed back mom (which I'm not),.... but it will make for great propaganda someday, probably 10 years from now when she's mad at me because I won't let her wear eyeliner or short skirts.

More from Disneyland!

So, I was looking at pictures from Disneyland from December and decided that the trip got majorly gipped on our blog. So, I'm posting more from all the fun. We had a blast. We went on the kiddie coaster....London loved it, Soren...not so much. Sadly, his lack of love for thrill rides comes from me. The kids ate french fries, pizza, hot dogs, cotton candy, ice cream, and huge lollipops...all the major food groups. Grams came along for the fun and ended up being our fast pass! We had a great time and can't wait to go back.

But....I'm a PRINCESS!

The other night Niles and I were cleaning up from dinner and the kids were playing. London as usual was in her full princess glory and was pulling some royal attitude! I can't remember what she said, but Niles replied with," No way, you don't talk to mom that way...go to time out." Her reply is why this story is making the blog. She folds her arms, sticks out her hip and looks right up at us and says with the upmost defiance..."But,....Ugh I'm a Princess!!" It was all we could do not to laugh as we sent her packing to time out. Another fun night at the Watterson's.
(side note for everyone who knows Niles...he's watching the origanl Karate Kid right now...and I think he's actually enjoying it.)

Boredom gives way to creative activities

We were hanging out in the kitchen one night...searching for something else to eat to cure our boredom when Soren starting climbing up the Fridge! No joke! Anyone who knows Soren, knows this is no exaggeration! Responsible parents would have probably nipped this in the bud right away....luckily for our kids we're not that responsible and were thrilled to have something to take up the time before bed! So we spent the next hour enhancing climbing technique and attempting to teach Lovey to climb as well.....She gave it a good go! It was a great time, we cheered, we laughed, we high-fived and then told them never to do it again! And yes, I realize the pictures are sideways! I can't for the life of me get them the right way! If anyone knows how to solve this dilemma let me know!

Niles Christmas present

Niles had made some comments this past fall about not having any recent pictures of the kids in his office. I thought I would surprise him with portraits of the kids for christmas. When I was in Utah I had their pictures taken. They turned out great! Who new my kids could be photogenic...I have to scream and jump up and down to get them to even look in my direction for a second! Here are some of the pictures!

Way over due Christmas update!

Since my last blog was after Thanksgiving it is safe to assume that December was more than just a little busy! So this blog is going to be a quick over view of December. We made our first Gingerbread house, watched Soren scale the refrigerator for the first of many times, Lovey had her first ballet recital, we went to a wedding in California and went to Disneyland with the kids!...We are exhausted and are still recovering from the month of December!

Christmas decorating at the Wattersons

Once again we brought out the Christmans decorations the day after Thanksgiving! This year was the best yet! The twins are really into Christmas this year and took it upon themselves to get started without the help of mom and dad! They were so proud of themselves and their decorating abilities. It made for a fun day!
