Last week a group of us went out for my friend Neeley's birthday! Neeley is our group's cultural guru...so we went to a Moroccan restuarant where we ate very interesting food with our hands and watched bellie dancing. I got the luxury of giving the bellie dancer a tip.....I assumed she would take it with her hand, I was sorely mistaken. She thru her hip at me and had me tuck it in her pants! ....that's the first and last time a dancer will be getting a tip from me.

Tanya's funeral

One of my best friend's turned forty in July. So we thru her a funeral of sorts to celebrate the death of her youth. Tanya's the perfect person to do this to because she looks like she's 25 and is in better shape than the rest of us. We had a great evening of games, cake and rock band(my new favorite past time).

Lovey's lost tooth

London hit her face at the pool and ended up with a loose tooth. The tooth ended up resorbing, which ment it had to be pulled. It was a little traumatic (mostly for me), but she was thrilled with the end result. She was so excited that the Tooth Failry was going to come. Being so young, she has no clue about money or it's importance. She decided she wanted pink sparkle sunglasses from the Tooth Fairy. We called the Tooth Fairy on her cell phone and placed the order. She spent the rest of the evening decorating the "tooth envelope" for the Tooth Fairy. She continues to stop and inform everyone she sees that she has lost a tooth. She's very impressed with her lost tooth status.

soccer season

We signed the twins up for fall soccer this year. London's reaction to playing..."Mom how bout Soren plays and I cheer because I want to be a cheerleader, not a soccer player." NIce. Anyway, I thought it would wear off and she would change her mind about soccer. No such luck. So, we took her out and she is now in gymnastics.
Soren on the other hand could not have been more excited about playing soccer. We bought him shin guards, which he calls "guard shields", and he slept in them for the first two nights and barely took them off. He is so excited but walks around like, yeah I wear shin guards all the time, it's no big deal. It's hilarious!

Happy Birthday Grandma Nila!

This past Saturday was Grandma Nila's birthday. The twins were so excited to make and decorate a cake for the special occasion. They are officially experts at tasting, sampling and stealing batter and frosting.....great little helpers. We went to our favorite mexican restuarant for dinner and finished up with birthday cake at our house. It was a fun evening. Happy Birthday Grandma Nila!

Weekend at the Cabin!

We went up to the cabin with all the Watterson's this past weekend. Everyone hauled into Grand Lake for a little day excursion. Whenever we go up there we get ice cream from this homemade ice cream shop. It is my favorite! Grand lake is one of the most fun places during the summer! I love it there. It was a great weekend to relax and visit with eachother. The kids had so much fun with their cousins.

Mr. Jumpy Tower

The twins couldn't understand why I was a little miffed about their cool invention. I was upstairs paying bills and all of a sudden Soren is at my side, adamant about the fact that I need to come see "Mr. Jumpy Tower". What's a Mr. Jumpy Tower? The pictures below explain what I found. All the pillows from our couch and every blanket in the closet out and placed in a pile, perfect for jumping on. Good thing I don't give a darn about this couch! They had a great time!
