Little Helpers

The other morning London and Soren wanted to help make breakfast for Niles. Soren past the eggs and London spent about 20 minutes on his toast. It was so cute and sweet I just had to take some pictures of it. They were so proud of themselves. It was the best toast ever eaten.

Niles Birthday!

It is birthday week at our house. Niles birthday was on the 10th. We had the traditional morning donuts and dinner. Niles was waxing nastalgic this year.....and wanted to have the same dinner he had as a kid for his birthday. It was a delicious dinner of Nila's burritos, sour cream & onion potatoes chips and Sunkist to wash it all down. Yum. All great things...not my first choice together...not my birthday. It was a wonderful evening with Niles parents and the kids.

Chuck E Cheese!

The twins had their birthday party with their friends at Chuck E Cheese. It was crazy, loud, probably very unsanitary and tons of fun!...I'm exhausted. The kids loved it and had a great time with their friends playing all the games and running around. It was great watching them play with all their friends.

The perfect day...for a 4 year old

Yesterday was the twins birthday! It was filled with sugar, sugar and cheetos...yes, you heard right. CHEETOS! Everyone knows, I HATE them (would rather eat broccoli). Under regular circumstances, Cheetos or any relative ei: cheese puffs, etc. are not allowed in my house, in my car, or any inclosed space that I am in. I made a small break in my strict rule for the twins birthday. In Niles family growing up, the kids get to pick whatever they want to for dinner. So what do my kids pick...Cheetos, cheese quesadillas and Kool-AId...delicious! A dinner of champions. They loved it!

We also went to the Denver Zoo with some of their friends, met Niles downtown for lunch and had my parents over for presents and birthday cake! And best of all NO NAPS! The twins kept asking to make sure I hadn't forgotten and was still going to make them have a rest. I did have to convince them however, that 4 years old still nap on a regular basis....and they bought it. I'm feeling pretty slick. It was a great day.

Happy Birthday London & Soren

Today, Lovey and Soren are 4 years old! I can't believe how time as flown by. They are the best part of our world and we are so grateful that they are our kiddos! As tradition, the twins got serenaded with birthday donuts this morning in bed. Which was a little tricky now that they are in separate rooms. Lovey just had to wait and pretend to be asleep. They are so excited to be "big kids".
Niles family birthday dinner tradition will soon follow, along with birthday party!

Back to School!

London and Soren are back to school this week. This year they'll be attending Miss Kim's preschool. They are both thrilled to be with friends and learning new things....ok, really they just want to play and have snacks. I'm thrilled they'll actually be learning at the same time. Miss Kim is great and the kids are going to have a wonderful year.

Labor Day 1/2 marathon

My sister-in-law, Kara, and I ran the Colorado Springs American Discovery Trail 1/2 marathon! It was great weather and so much fun! The best part was all the food they had afterwards....this is the real reason I like races. After pizza, bagels, muffins, chips, brauts, cookies, cake and watermelon I'm ready to go for next year! Thanks Kara for a fun race!
